Short thoughts and replies that weren't a whole blog post.

  1. Not all consulting companies are the same. Pay for features piece by piece and don’t wait months to see progress. A cautionary tale: Hertz has sued Accenture for failing to deliver on a $32 million "digital transformation" project.Follow along as we read the lawsuit's details…https://t.co/Tat6WPLLJC— Dave Guarino ([email protected]) (@allafarce) April...

  2. Bird watching is IRL Pokemon Go. There’s even a Pokedex @MerlinBirdID

  3. Only wish we would have been told the flight was delayed before we rushed through security.

  4. I’m impressed by the service by @AmericanAir making up for our delayed flight. Provided meals and snacks for all the customers.

  5. @BigJebBos I actually believe that there are some easy ways that people could improve their nutrition now but there are multiple factors that lead to malnutrition. It isn’t just one thing.

  6. @classicpatches As someone who watched the Rockies for the past couple of years, I have to agree with this though. twitter.com/marQisHG/statu…

  7. Why does Chrome not allow you to turn off the ability for websites to ask if they can send push notifications? 🥺

  8. Ugh, twitter is a minefield today. Everyone’s got a joke.

  9. I can’t decide if I like that instagram stories un-publish by default or if I hate that you need to use the app every day to keep up with the content.

  10. @chiccychiccy Just harboring resentment over standardized testing shenanigans. Don’t waste my time because you need the test results to say a few people are marginally better at eliminating options in a multiple choice test.

  11. Puebla’s bus station is 10x the size of its airport.

  12. I struggle with applying this. Both my curiosity and frugality push me to spend time on things that don’t help me in the long run. Set and enforce an aspirational personal hourly rate. If fixing a problem will save less than your hourly rate, ignore it. If outsourcing a task...

  13. Pro tip: If the lessons aren’t difficult you can test out of subjects using the 🔑 icon. It’s super helpful for the first few levels since most things are multiple choice.

  14. @github I do wish that @gitlab was more widely used in the open source community because they have a great product too.

  15. @github I know it can be scary when one company controls so much, but it is good to see that the open source-to-enterprise model can be successful.
