Overall, it was a fun game considering we were watching the two worst teams in the conference. I wish the tickets weren’t so expensive but they were worth it that night.
That being said, the red card and subsequent #Rapids96 goal in extra minutes made for an exciting end.
The refs were terrible as was evidenced by the brawl at the end of the game. Slow to call fouls and give cards. Odd fouls at other times. Suspect calls near the #Rapids96 goal that completely changed the outcome of game.
The stadium was pretty small (only 25 rows deep) but well filled. There were sections of fans leading chants & cheers as opposed to the normal PA system stuff.
MLS fans are intense. Part of me expected fewer fans to have team gear but I would say the percentage was >= the major sports games I’ve been to.
