Thanksgiving Stuffing
A Ciccarello family thanksgiving favorite, this starts with a pre-made stuffing recipe and adds sausage, fruit, and eggs.

Ingredients
- 1 stick of butter
- 1 large onion
- 2 apples
- 2 stalks of celery
- 1 lb ground Italian sausage
- 1 12 oz. Pepperidge farm stuffing bag
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1/2-1 cup pecans
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries
- 1/2 cup pine nuts
- 2 eggs
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
- Heat butter in a 4-quart saucepan over medium-high heat
- Add onion, apples, and celery and cook until tender but still crisp
- While the fruit and veggies cook, brown the sausage in a skillet
- Stir in the sausage and let cook for 2 minutes
- Add 1 1/2 cups of broth and heat to a boil
- In a small bowl or cup, whisk the eggs with the remaining 1/2 cup of broth
- Add remaining uncooked ingredients to a greased casserole dish, pour in the egg mix, and mix in the cooked ingredients
- Cover and bake for 35 minutes (or leave uncovered more crisp)
